“After much consideration, two possibilities for my design were ultimately up for debate: a twenty-eight-piece artwork, which would ‘wrap’ itself around the column, or a minimalist approach, which I finally settled on. In this forest of sculptural columns and ideas, the statuary image seems to invite a moment of calm, to lead one to consider what else this motif has to offer.
