The columns of a diagonal that runs through the hall from north to south are dedicated to a look into the future. Every year for a period of ten years, an international art academy will be invited to design a column for the STOA169. Over the next few years, columns by young, student artists proposed by the art academies will be conceived and realised in order to be integrated into the columned hall.
The columnss of the Academy of Fine Arts, Munich (2020), the Angewandte, Vienna (2021), the VAADS, Free University, Tbilisi (2022) and the Nepal Academy of Fine Arts/ Mirjana College of Fine Arts, Kathmandu (2024) have already been realised.
