“I thought to create a column which relates to the place and environment in which I grew up. I went on a field research trip in order to find and collect vessels which were traditionally used for cooking at home. These copper vessels are of different sizes and shapes, and they became dark with time after extensive use. I found and collected them in different villages on Mount Carmel and in the Galilee region.” – Ovadia Alkara
