STOA169 continues
In the last months, many artists have further developed their ideas and worked intensively on their sculptures. Many columns and steles are ready for installation, others are still under construction in the workshops. The column concepts and the joint work on the implementation of the contributions confirm the STOA169 vision: To be able to create great things through collaboration. To see the already finished columns increases our anticipation for the STOA169!
COVID-19 presents us all – shortly before the goal – with great challenges. Despite the current situation, the production of the columns can continue in the workshops. The construction planning also confirms its goals: At the beginning of April the construction site will be set up and the preparations for the installation of the columns will start. However, we cannot foresee how the situation will develop, including when the columns can be transported from Italy, Africa, Australia, the Marquesas Islands and other parts of the world …
We are doing our best to ensure that the STOA169 is built according to plan and will work together to find solutions to make the first phase of the portico construction a reality before the end of this year.
