A “Fibonacci Column”: Fiona Hall (Australia)

STOA169 – The “Fibonacci Column”: Fiona Hall

3 March 2020 – Long before the devastating forest fires in Australia, Australian artist Fiona Hall made climate change the subject of her work. For STOA169, she uses a tree trunk from Polling, which, when burnt out, refers to the power of nature. The tree’s branches are arranged in a “Fibonacci” order, which describes the growth pattern in nature.
